Most people don’t realize that children from infant up through age 18 come into care.

When a child comes into foster care they usually have nothing more than the clothes on their backs. We accept donations of every kind to help fill an immediate need for these children. Clothes, coats, shoes, beds, toys, bikes, baby equipment (swings, bouncy seats, etc.) anything that can be used by children and teens we help to accept in donations.

These donations need to be smoke free and in great condition.

We go through the donations and organize them so they’re easier to find. Clothes and shoes are organized by size and season.

Most clothes are washed in scent free detergent (just in case of allergies) so they are ready to use immediately and bagged and tagged to go in back packs that also include anything they might need to get that child through the night and the next few days. Depending on the age, depends on what is inside that bag. A baby bag would include items like, baby soap & lotion, a blanket, a couple bottles, burp rags, bibs, diapers, etc. a teen bag would include items like, toothbrush & tooth paste, soap, deodorant, a lap blanket, some school supplies. These bags are stored at the agency so they’re ready for the social worker to grab when they’re taking a child to their new home. The foster parent is then able to contact us for any other needs they may have like beds, shoes, toys, baby equipment, etc.

We have a Facebook group where we can post specific needs for foster families also.

We have recently been asked by the agency to begin helping to provide immediate needs for those families that are working with the state on services to try to keep their families in tact. They have the same basic needs as the foster families.

Thank you for your interest in supporting this ministry.
